Ideal for the home gym for fitness enthusiasts of any skill level, the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer provides an effective cardiovascular workout by combining upper and lower body flexibility and coordination into one impact-free motion. Elliptical trainers emulate the natural motion of your foot while supporting your heel throughout the stride, making them much easier on your knees and joints. In addition to feeling more natural while working out, regular use on elliptical trainers will increase heart and lung capacity while improving your health (and burning calories at the same time).

Amazon Customer Reviews
Before making this purchase, I did my homework in reading reviews and trying out several other ellipticals at fitness stores. Some of them had an awkward stride motion, others were noise, some were too big, and others were too expensive. The Schwinn 430 has been just perfect for us. It relatively compact and has a nice smooth motion to the stride. It did start to squeak a day or two after we bought and assembled it. However, after I sprayed the track with white lithium lubricant (lift the wheels off the track and let it dry before bringing the wheels back to the track)the squeak has gone away. It doesn’t have a lot of the extra bells and whistles such as an ipod connection or a fan, but those items could be introduced externally. Also the monitor is a little difficult to read. None of those factors really matter to me. It just seems to be a well built, basic, compact elliptical. Some reviewers also commented that it was difficult to assemble. I did not find that to be the case. We put it together in a couple hours one evening.
Why should I buy Schwinn 430 Ellipticla Trainer?
With its amazing features and improved stability, the Schwinn 430 elliptical trainer offers good value. The quality and workmanship on the machine is excellent and it works smoothly and quietly. With its $599 price tag, it’s easy to see why this product is a best seller.
Compared to other brands in this price range, the Schwinn 430 is a much better buy. Customers rate it an average of 4.4 stars out of 5. Reviews are mostly positive and the only issue was the assembly required.
The main drawback with the Schwinn 430 is on the warranty. It comes with a 2-year warranty on parts and one year on electronics. However, the service warranty is only 90 days. A 2-year service warranty is recommended.
The Schwinn 430 is a good choice for the average user. However, it’s not suitable for users weighing more than 200 pounds or who are over 6 ft. tall. For strenuous workouts, it may be better to choose an elliptical trainer in the $1,000+ price range.
